How To Add Your eBay Listings To Vinted (And Vice Versa)

When it comes to selling online, either selling on Vinted or eBay, you can increase your chance of sales by listing your items on both platforms. In this post we are going to show you how to add your eBay listings to Vinted and vice versa.

What is Vinted?

Vinted is a marketplace for buying and selling unwanted items.

Vinted have three main aims:

  1. Sell simply – make money by easily listing your preloved items – a great way to make money on your phone or to make money with your iPad.
  2. Shop smarter – find amazing brands that you love at a fraction of the RRP.
  3. Join the community – join in the Vinted forums or customise your feed for the products that you really want.

The Vinted app is available both on iOS and Android, and you can also use the desktop version.

Vinted Vs eBay

In the past, eBay took a 10% final value fee when you sold clothes. That meant for a £100 sale, you would pay £10 in eBay fees.

However, they recently changed this, meaning that both Vinted and eBay offer no fees for selling.

This new change from eBay makes it a great contender for selling your unwanted items.

Should I list on eBay or Vinted?

The answer is – list on both!

By listing on both platforms you are opening up your audience and reaching new potential buyers.

You might think that buyers would be put off spending a bit more by paying for the Vinted Buyer's Protection Fee, but I've had many sales on Vinted where the same items are on eBay.

How To Add Your eBay Listings To Vinted

If you want to add your eBay listings to Vinted then there are a few ways to do it.

.

Manually add your eBay listings to Vinted

One way to get your eBay listings over to Vinted is to manually add them.

This means listing on Vinted like you normally would, and keeping track of what you have listed on eBay and Vinted.

Doing is this way is free and doesn't require the use of any external software or program, but it can be rather tedious.

You will also need to manually remove the item from the other platform when it sells. For example, if your item sells on Vinted then you will have to remove it from eBay yourself.

.

Add your eBay listings to Vinted with Zipsale

Using Zipsale is my favourite way to add my eBay listings to Vinted.

I really love Zipsale because they offer both a free plan and a paid plan.

With the paid plan it will automatically delist your item when it sells. For example, if it sells on Vinted it will remove it from eBay for you.

The first step is to sign up to Zipsale and choose your plan. You can get 30 listings for free every month, or the paid plans start at 100 listings. Enter code emmadrew to get your first month free!

Once you have connected both your eBay and Vinted accounts then in the top menu and select ‘Import/Export items'.

Then from here choose ‘eBay' and ‘Import'.

You will then see a list of your eBay items. Just tick the ones that you want to import into Zipsale and click on ‘Import'.

You will now see your eBay items in Zipsale.

They will NOT be listed to Vinted until you list them by clicking on the ‘Edit to list' in the Vinted column. Sometimes you will just see a purple ‘list' button which you can press to automatically list.

Here you can make any changes that you need to.

The only thing I usually need to add is the size as it doesn't always import from eBay.

Once does hit ‘Save and list to Vinted'.

What happens if my items sells on both eBay and Vinted?

You might be concerned about your item selling on both eBay and Vinted, so here are some tips to get around it.

  • Have notifications switched on. If you get a notification of a sale then quickly head over to the other app to remove your listing for sale.
  • Use a tool that automatically delists for you, such as Zipsale (paid tiers only).
  • Mention in your listings that items are listed elsewhere.
  • Offer a refund to the second buyer.
