If anything, they’re just another way of writing a keyword.
So if you include “#zara” in your description, your item might appear when someone searches “zara”. But it would do that anyway if you’d simply written “Zara” naturally in your title and description.
That’s the key difference.
It’s not the hashtag doing the work. It’s the word itself.
Why Do So Many People Still Use Hashtags on Vinted?
This is mostly habit.
A lot of Vinted advice comes from people who are also creating content on Instagram or TikTok, where hashtags are genuinely important. So they carry that habit over without really questioning whether it applies.
