Why sell on Vinted?
There are so many good reasons to sell on Vinted, and some users report better results than selling on eBay.
Many consumers are trying to reduce their consumption of fast fashion. This global fashion movement has made second-hand style more popular over the last few years. Now an item of clothing can continue to have a life after the first owner is done with it. As a business model, Vinted are keen for buyers and sellers to come together.
Instead of charging the sellers a fee like most other marketplaces, Vinted instead charge the buyers buyer protection fees.
Many users are making extra money by selling items on Vinted from their Vinted account.
You will need to take photos of your item and upload them onto any of the widfe range of categories on Vinted.
The items that sell on Vinted are varied – second-hand homeware can sell well, as well as secondhand clothes. Great-value books sell well (I sell mine in bundles) as well as pet accessories and new beauty products.
Selling on Vinted is popular because there are no seller fees to pay (unless you upgrade to a paid feature like Wardrobe Spotlight). You are also issued with pre-paid shipping labels (unless you choose Royal Mail as a shipping method) making it a great way to make some extra cash.
How to get paid on Vinted?
If you are wondering how to get paid on Vinted then here’s how.
Potential buyers will find your item on Vinted usually through search results and they can either buy it there and then or send you an offer.
Once the item has been sold then you will need to send your item using the buyer’s chosen shipping method – most of them provide a pre-paid shipping label, however Royal Mail doesn’t and you will need to pay for this out of your own pocket.
The postage options or postal service that you want to offer may depend on the type of item you are selling. For example, if you are selling mugs then use Royal Mail for extra protection.

Package up your item and send it off using the method the buyer has selected.
Once the buyer receives their purchase then they have 2 days to let you or Vinted know if there are any issues, or click on ‘Everything is OK’ to accept the order.
Note: if the buyer doesn’t let you or Vinted know about any issues after these 2 days have passed then Vinted will mark everything as okay.
Once everything has been marked as okay, or those 2 days after delivery happen and the buyer hasn’t reported an issue, the funds are released into your Vinted wallet.

Once the funds hit your Vinted balance you can either spend it on Vinted towards future purchases, or you can request that they are paid into your bank account.
You cannot withdraw part of your balance – it has to be the entire balance. Alternatively, you can leave the money in your balance to spend on buying new items on the app.
It can then take up to 5 working days to hit your bank account.
