If you’ve ever listed something on Vinted and sat there wondering whether to add hashtags… you’re definitely not alone.
It’s one of those things that feels like it should help, but no one is really sure if it actually does.
The honest answer?
Hashtags on Vinted are a bit… meh.

They’re not going to magically get your item in front of thousands of buyers overnight, and they’re definitely not the thing that makes or breaks your sales.
If you want the full breakdown, I’ve already gone into detail here: Do hashtags work on Vinted?
But if you’re thinking “okay but I still want to use them just in case”… then you’re in the right place.
So… Should You Use Hashtags on Vinted?
Short answer: you can, but don’t rely on them.
From my own experience selling on Vinted (and hitting consistent weekly sales), hashtags are nowhere near as important as things like:
- Your title
- Your photos
- Your pricing
- Your activity on the app
If anything, I’d say hashtags are a tiny extra layer rather than a core strategy.
If your listings aren’t getting views, it’s much more likely to be something else going on.
If you haven’t already, it’s well worth reading this complete guide to selling on Vinted because that’s where the real wins are.
That said… if adding hashtags takes you 10 seconds and might give you a small boost, there’s no harm in doing it.

When You List
Timing makes a difference. Not in a “you must post at exactly 7:03pm” way, but being active when buyers are browsing does help.

The Bottom Line on Vinted Hashtags
Hashtags aren’t the secret weapon people hope they are.
They’re not going to fix a weak listing or suddenly boost something that isn’t getting attention.
But they’re quick to add, and they might give you a small extra nudge.
So if you want to use them, use them.
Just don’t rely on them.
And if you want a quick way to generate them without overthinking it, the tool above will do the job in seconds.
