I love a good freebie and one of my top favourite apps for getting some great freebies is the Meerkat App where you can get some fantastic deals on food and cinema tickets with this Meerkat Movies hack.
What offers can you get?
With the Meerkat 2 for 1 deal, you can get 2 for 1 on cinema tickets and on your meals. These are available at many restaurants and cinemas so you’re bound to find some nearby to you!
For the cinema tickets, you can get 2 for 1 tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and it can be used across many cinemas throughout the UK.
For Meerkat Meals, you can get 2 for 1 on all 3 of your courses and use from Sunday to Thursday so the only unavailable days are Fridays and Saturdays. You can use Meerkat meals for up to 6 people too, so it’s fantastic for family meals, meet-ups with friends or work colleague gatherings.
How do I sign up?
When you use the website Compare The Market to compare and go ahead with any of their available products, you will become eligible for a year’s access to the 2 for 1 deal! Compare the Market offer a huge range of comparisons on various products including car, travel and home insurance, energy and broadband providers and credit cards and loans.
Once you’ve purchased your product using Compare the Market, you will then need to download the Meerkat App onto your phone, sign in and then you’ll have access to your offers!

What cinemas / Restaurants can I use the 2 for 1 deals on?
Once you download the app, you will be able to click on tabs for both movies and meals. The movies app will display the latest film releases along with all nearest cinemas to you and each one will display a 2 for 1 icon if it is eligible. When you have decided on which cinema you would like, you can book directly in the app, on the cinema’s website by using your unique code or showing your code once you buy your tickets in the cinema itself.
For meals, open the meal tab and then you will be shown a map with the nearest eligible restaurants. Once you select the restaurant you want, it will tell you if you need to book in advance or if walk-ins are welcome. To use the 2 for 1 meals, mention it to your server at the start of the meal and then click the 2 for 1 icon in the top right corner, enter how many diners and then you will be taken to a digital card with your member number on. Give this number to your server at the end of your meal and enjoy seeing your bill be split in half!
I love using this app!
Tony and I regularly have movie dates and have found the app is eligible at a lot of our local restaurants so we have definitely saved a small fortune using it. You can combine the offer with the Cineworld Unlimited card too. It’s also introduced us to quite a few restaurants we probably wouldn’t have tried out otherwise so I’d highly recommend checking it out!
