One activity that I love doing is going to the cinema, and we have found a way to make it a frugal date with the Cineworld Unlimited Card. In this post I am going to share how we save a ton of money on our cinema trips.
Traditionally going to the cinema can cost a small fortune once you factor in the ticket prices plus any drinks and snacks that you might want. As an avid movie goer I found that I was spending a lot of money on cinema tickets. When I discovered the Cineworld Unlimited Card scheme I knew it would be something I would love.
What is Cineworld Unlimited?
The Cineworld Unlimited card allows you to pay just one price a month and see as many films as you want included in that membership price.
How much does Cineworld Unlimited cost?
You might be wondering how much Cineworld Unlimited costs you.
The good news is that the Cineworld Unlimited card is priced very reasonably, and if you see just two films a month you are in profit.

Considering one adult film ticket can cost you £11.50, getting a Cineworld Unlimited Card is great value for money if you visit the cinema twice a month or more.
When can you use your Cineworld Unlimited Membership?
The good news is that you don't need to wait for your Cineworld card to arrive before you can use it.
You can print off the confirmation email or even just show it on your smartphone when you get to the cinema.
Or you can get a Cineworld temporary pass by text.
Remember to take some photo ID with you to the cinema to be let in.
Is the Cineworld Unlimited Card worth it?
If you visit the cinema a lot then the Cineworld Unlimited card is worth it for you.
As well as being able to see as many films as you want for one monthly price you also get some other great benefits.
Is a Cineworld membership worth it?
Yes, yes and yes!!
The normal price for an adult ticket is £11.50. If you go to the cinema more than once a month then you will make substantial savings and you should sign up to a Cineworld Unlimited membership immediately!
On top of the ticket discounts, you also get a whole load more thrown in!
These Cineworld Unlimited discounts include:
- 10% off all food and drink at the cinema – increasing to 25% after your first 12 months of membership.
- 25% off food and drink at Yo! Sushi, Café Rouge, Bella Italia, Las Iguanas, La Tasca and Belgo.
Cineworld refer a friend
Another great advantage to the Cineworld Unlimited card is that you can give your friends and family a free month of Cineworld Unlimited with your referral code, and to reward you for gaining a new customer for Cineworld they will also add a month membership onto your subscription for free.
Cineworld Unlimited Restrictions
There are some restrictions on the Cineworld Unlimited card.
If you want to see a 3D film in your first 12 months of membership then you will need to pay a small uplift fee (and purchase your 3D glasses).
You can also only have one film booked at a time, meaning if a film isn't your cup of tea then you can't get tickets for another one until the current film has ended.
One thing to be aware of is that you can only watch one film at a time. So, if you’re watching a film and it's not the greatest, you can leave but you can’t go in to see another film until the first one has finished.
How much we have saved with the Cineworld Unlimited Card
It is fair to say that we have saved a ton of money by using the Cineworld Unlimited card. Even when our cinema was an hour away we managed to save over £127 a year on tickets alone. Now that we have Cineworld Ely we see a lot more films and our savings have increased.
If you're a carer, you should also look into getting a CEA card to use alongside this.

How to cancel the Cineworld Unlimited Card
The Cineworld Unlimited membership is a 12 month subsription, so if you want to cancel after 12 months you can email unlimited@cineworld.co.uk or ring the Unlimited Helpline. You will need to give them one month's notice to cancel your membership.
