NEW FAVORITE TRAVEL BLOG

You guys know I’ve been keeping this blog for a long time already, it’s where I like to share my personal experiences, and of course a piece or two of good advice as well. And while blogging around the world, I’ve had the chance to meet other awesome writers I think you might like as well. So today I am going to talk about the guys from Insidr. They have all sorts of cool tips for travelling around Europe, and seriously, you should check them out while planning your next trip. I have my favorites from their articles, but you should check their content. While they’re based in Paris and have written a lot about the city, they also give a lot of tips about traveling other European destinations like Madrid, Amsterdam, and London!

At Insidr, I came across very interesting articles that have answered so many of my own questions! For example, honest tips about the public transport in Paris or how to get to Paris from the airport (Orly / CDG), and even going so far as writing up a guide to getting your own Navigo Pass. I particularly found the list of common scams to avoid to be really eye-opening! They also help with coming up with interesting things to do on Sundays in Paris and when traveling to Paris with kids!

One of the more interesting things I read from INSIDR is one that gave a rundown of the best shows in Paris. I didn’t realize how many different kinds of shows there are in the city! From cabaret shows at the Moulin Rouge to comedy shows in English, it seems like there’s truly something for everyone. It was also cool to read about some of the amazing venues that the city has. I like how the article not only introduced some of the best shows in the city but they also included the surrounding restaurants and bars. You should definitely check out their guide if you’re planning a trip to Paris soon!

And as I continued browsing their content, I also found their Paris Fashion Week Guide. I’ve always been curious to see what fashion week is like! Even though the shows are shared live on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook nowadays, I’m pretty sure there are still a lot of things that go on behind the scenes. For example, the Chanel shows that are always held in Paris every season have the most extravagant productions! Call me shallow but it’s for these reasons that I’m planning on traveling all the way to Paris someday.

There are a lot of blogs and Instagram influencers that I’ve followed for some guidance but none of them are quite like the guide I read from INSIDR. They shared the most helpful details about what goes on during fashion week. I loved that they included the restaurants and clubs where after-parties happen. They also shared a brilliant place to stay right in the middle of all the action! It’s small boutique hotel called Hotel Chavanel in the 8th arrondissement which is where most of the flagship stores are! I was quite lucky to stumble upon it while hounding google for some answers! I even read their hacks on shopping in Paris!

To end this post, I’d like to talk about the upcoming holiday season. Can you believe that it’s Christmas time once again? To be honest, I have a love/hate relationship with this season. I love it because it’s a time to be with family and friends and eat good food but I hate it because I feel so much stress when it comes to buying gifts for everyone! Luckily the Internet exists and again, I stumbled upon a couple of articles from INSIDR that have really helped me get ideas! If you guys are stuck like I was, go and check their page for the best gifts you can buy in Paris and their guide on shopping in Paris! Despite all the crowds at Galeries Lafayette, INSIDR helped me understand why it’s truly a 1-stop shop for everything you can think of buying. Now I’m adding a trip to Paris on my wishlist!

Well, that’s about it for now. Count on me to share more of my favorite blogs here from time to time. Ciao!
