Edit 26 March 2019: The Trading 212 free share referral program has now ended. You can try Orca
You know how I love a freebie, especially when it is free money. Today I want to tell you about how you can grab yourself a Trading 212 free share worth up to £100.
Who are Trading212?
Trading212 are the UK’s number one trading and investing app (based on App Store statistics). They have over 14 million downloads and have been rated by over 40,000 customers.
They offer free, zero based commission on trades.
How to get your free Trading 212 share
To get your free share, simply click here to sign up.
You will be shown three accounts to choose from – you want the middle one, the INVEST one. Do not choose CFD or an ISA.
Fund your account with at least £1.
You will then get your free share within 3 business days.
How much your free share is worth?
There is no knowing how much your free share will be worth when you sign up – however it will be worth up to £100.
My free share was worth around £20.
How to sell your free share
Once you have signed up and been sent your free share, it needs 3 business days to unlock and then you can then choose to sell it.
This whole process takes about a week.
It will sell for a little bit (a few pence) under the buying price. You can choose to hold off and wait for it to increase in value, however I am all about the quick win
Refer friends and earn more
If you get your friends and family members to sign up for a free share then you will also be rewarded with another free share – again, worth up to £100.
The most common shares I’ve received for free are FitBit for around £6, although I have also had a couple of £40 shares.
Disclaimer
This blog post is to encourage you to sign up and get a free share on the INVEST market. As you know, the prices of stocks and shares can increase and decrease. Do not choose CFD or the ISA option, only the INVEST option.
Inactivity fee
If you don’t make a trade within 6 months there is a £9 inactivity fee. Either keep referring friends and family members or close your account (don’t just delete the app) so that you don’t get charged.

Just signed up! Love your blog Emma, also got my husband on to match betting on your recommendation!! Lotsa love 🙂
Hi Emma
I tried this but said I could not qualify or be authorised. Not sure why? I filled in all of the necessary parts correctly.
Has anyone else reported similar issues?
Thanks
Ben
Have they sent you an email explaining why?
Hi Emma
How do I sell the share?
Thanks 🙂
