If you’ve been banned from Vinted then the very first thing you should do is appeal the decision through Vinted.

When Vinted notifies you of the restriction, there will usually be a link allowing you to appeal directly from the message.

A Note About 3-Day Bans

One frustrating thing about Vinted’s process is that they often state they may take up to 120 hours to investigate an appeal.

That’s five days.

If you’ve only received a three-day restriction, your ban may actually expire before anyone reviews your appeal.

It’s still worth submitting the appeal, but don’t be surprised if your account becomes active again before you receive a response.

Step 2: Contact Vinted Support

Once you’ve submitted your appeal, it’s worth contacting Vinted’s support team directly as well.

A polite follow-up can sometimes help ensure your case receives proper attention and not just an AI bot.

Step 3: Stay Calm and Avoid Making Things Worse

It can be tempting to create a new account immediately if you’ve been banned.

Don’t.

Creating additional accounts while your original account is under investigation can lead to further action from Vinted and may make it much harder to recover your original account.

Instead:

• Wait for the outcome of your appeal.
• Respond politely if Vinted asks for more information.
• Keep copies of any emails or messages you exchange.

A calm, professional approach is much more likely to produce a positive outcome.

Step 4: Sell Elsewhere While You Wait

If you’re relying on Vinted for extra income, you don’t have to stop selling altogether.

Depop

Depop is particularly good for fashionable clothing and younger buyers. While selling fees still apply, many sellers successfully use both Depop and Vinted together.

Vestiaire Collective

Selling luxury or designer items?

Vestiaire Collective specialises in authenticated designer fashion and is often a better marketplace than Vinted for premium brands.

Facebook Marketplace

Facebook Marketplace is ideal for larger items that would be expensive to post, as well as local collections.

Can You Get Your Vinted Account Back?

Sometimes, yes.

However, if Vinted believes you’ve repeatedly broken its policies or committed a serious breach of its terms, the ban could remain in place.
