You will need to sign up to a few websites (I have listed some of my favourites below) and keep an eye on your email inbox to get notified when there are surveys available.

Whilst this one isn't technically making any money, it can help you to release some cash quickly.

If you have recently made a purchase that still has the tags on or is in a new condition and it within the usual 28 day return period then you might want to consider returning it to get some quick money freed up.

This can really help you to find money to pay your bills in a bind.

Do you have a friend or family member who owes you money?

Asking them for the money back might be extremely awkward, but it is a quick way to get some extra cash in your pocket.

The best thing is that it is money that you are already owed, so you don't even have to work for it.

  1. Cute post and totally makes sense to have these as a little list of things you could do regularly….I have two things right now that I needed to return in 28 days and didn’t! Woops.

  2. Selling on Facebook is a big one for me. We’re currently starting to go through our 7 months old’s old stuff (baby bath etc). If you list at a reasonable price, someone will always be interested on Facebook. Also make sure pictures are nice!

  3. Just a quick one about scrap metal. They are not allowed to pay cash now. Money will be transferred into your account instead. New laws.

  5. Making money in an hour is tough, it essentially comes down to having a garage sell to get turn your unused stuff into money. If you’re willing to wait a bit longer than an hour, I really like stock photography as a great passive income stream. You could use an hour to upload your best photos to a stock photography website. Does that count? lol
