app Charlotte Jessop is the owner of Looking After Your Pennies, where she writes about personal finance and eco-friendly living. She’s also a bit of an expert on the Fiverr app and is here to tell you more.
I’d wanted to try my hand as a freelance writing for a while. After approaching a few people that were already doing it, they told me that Fiverr would be a great place to start.
Like I do with most things, I took this information and stored it in my head whilst making a mental note to do something about it later.
Finally, halfway through a trip around the world, I decided that I would like to make some more money, so the time came to set up my Fiverr account.
What is Fiverr?
Fiverr is an online marketplace for freelancers. What this means is that if you need someone to create a logo, compose a jingle or do your accounts, you can head there and find some to do this for you.
As someone looking to make money, it means that there are lots of buyers already on the platform and waiting to buy your skills and services.
The Fiverr app acts as the go between. It will help match up those that need something done with those that are able to do it.
What can I sell?
When people talk to me about Fiverr, the main question that they ask is: “what can I sell?” Luckily, Fiverr gives you the chance to sell all manner of skills and services.
You could be a writer, proof-reader, graphic designer, web designer, tarot reader, tutor, therapist or even a celebrity impersonator. Whatever it is there is a way for you to make money on this platform.
I am a firm believer that everyone has a skill, service, or talent that they can offer to the world and Fiverr is the perfect way to get confident selling it.
How much money can you make on the Fiverr app?
This is a hard one to answer as it depends on what you are selling. Fiverr prides itself on being an affordable place to look for freelancers, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make good money.
The biggest order I’ve had was worth $500, so close to £400, but I have also had orders where I made £12. With a solid strategy you can scale up your services and generate a consistent and good level of income.
By way of an example, I now generate enough income from Fiverr app to pay my mortgage and bills and that is doing it for just a couple of hours a week.
How do I get started?
The first step is creating your account on Fiverr. You will need to create a profile that tells potential buyers all about you and your skills and experience.
From there you will be able to create your gigs, which are your offerings to the Fiverr community. You will add images, create a pricing structure and a brief description of what your customers can expect from you.
With that all done, you will be live on Fiverr and ready to start attracting buyers. It will be only a matter of time before people start placing orders.
Want some extra help?
To help people get off to the best start, I wrote an ebook called: “Create Your Fiverr Success Story”. It covers all the details about how you create your profile, gigs and get buyers to click that order button.
But if you need an extra boost of confidence, then I’ve got a course too. It goes into more depth around figuring out what you can sell, how to get your gigs seen and creating a continuous income stream. It also comes with a free copy of the ebook.
EVERYONE can make money on the Fiverr app
I’m saying it again because I genuinely believe it. You have skill or service that someone else doesn’t and they are willing to pay you to access it.
It is a simple and fantastic way to make good money online and to restyle yourself as a freelancer if that is what you want. It's also possible to use it to provide a passive income.
