The busiest time of the year is fast approaching for Amazon, with Black Friday followed by Christmas. They are on an aggressive recruitment campaign at the moment, and even throwing in some fantastic bonuses – £50 a week for full attendance, plus an extra £250 if you work up until (and including) Christmas Eve.
The Christmas temp jobs at Amazon are mostly at their fulfillment centres, and earnings start from £9.70 per hour for day shift. There are a variety of shift patterns to choose from, and transport laid on to an from some fulfillment centres. There is also plenty of overtime available.
The shifts might be long, but are typically 4 days on, 3 days off per week.

Interview tips for Christmas temp jobs
If you are lucky enough to move forward to the interview stage then chances are it will happen virtually through video conferencing such as Zoom. Here are some tips to help you with your job interview.
- Look neat and presentable, even for video calls.
- Research the company and have an answer prepared for why you want to work for the company. If you absolutely love a store then tell them. If you have been selling on Fulfilled by Amazon and want to work at Amazon to see behind the scenes then tell them that.
- Prepare questions – you don't just want to ask when you will be paid, but ask about the company culture or your day to day responsibilities.
- Make sure you have read the instructions carefully. Do you know which software to install to attend the interview? Do you have the correct time noted down?
