UK loyalty points cards are a fantastic way to save money at places that you regularly shop. If you are shopping there anyway, why not redeem some benefits at the same time?
Here I have listed some of the best UK reward card schemes from supermarkets to health and beauty retailers so that you can start making savings every time you shop at these stores. These are a great way to treat yourself without spending any money.
Loyalty cards can also be a great way to get free food and even free stuff for your garden.
Boots Advantage Card
The Boots Advantage Card has been around forever, and currently there are approximately 18 million members that are part of the generous loyalty scheme that offers 4 points for every pound spent in store. Each point is worth one penny, so if you have 420 points, that equates to £4.20.
If you regularly shop at Boots, the points can quickly add up, especially as Boots offer deals throughout the year such as double points when you spend over £30. The points don’t expire unless you haven’t used the card in 2 years, so you can build them up and use them when you need them most.
With the Boots Advantage Card you can also sign up to further clubs and schemes such as the Boots Parenting Club where you will receive 10 points for every pound spent in store on baby products. Check online to see if you qualify for one of their schemes and earn even more points on your shopping!
Nectar Card
The Nectar Card is a must for anyone who regularly shops at Sainsbury’s, but did you know that you can also claim points from hundreds of other retailers? Argos, Apple, Virgin Trains and even eBay are all linked to the Nectar Card.
Nectar points take a little longer to accumulate than other rewards cards- with 1 point per pound spent, but this is balanced out by the larger sums of money you would be likely to spend on a weekly shop at Sainsbury’s, and also the sheer amount of other retailers who are affiliated with the scheme.
As well as paper coupons being printed at the till point when shopping at Sainsbury’s, you can also receive digital voucher offers through the Nectar Card app.

Superdrug Health & Beauty Card
The Superdrug Health & Beauty Card again allows you to collect points as you spend, for every one pound spent you will receive 1 point which equates to 1 penny.
You are able to spend your points once you reach 100 points (equalling £1.00), which means it could take a while to build up a decent bank of points with this scheme. That said, the Health & Beauty card grants you access to member benefits such as lower prices on selected products, which change every few weeks.
If you have signed up online, you will get notified of these products by email as soon as the offer is available in store. Superdrug also runs ‘Treat Thursday’ where members get an exclusive discount on a selected brand or product category, again, members will be notified of these offers via email.
If you prefer to shop online, this card could come in handy as standard delivery is free to Health & Beauty card members on orders over £10 (for non-members it is for orders over £15).
Tesco Clubcard
Like the Nectar Card, the Tesco Clubcard offers 1 point for every pound spent, so 150 points turns into £1.50 in vouchers.
Every 3 months, Tesco will send you Clubcard vouchers to the value of the points that you have accrued, these can be used in store, on fuel and also with Tesco’s ‘Reward Partners.’
The Reward Partners are a long list of companies such as Cineworld, Uber and RAC- the list of partners is endless, and the Clubcard vouchers can contribute to the cost of anything from eating out to holidays abroad. You will also receive coupons in the post (or by email if you would prefer) if you are a Clubcard member which provide discounts on selected products in store and online.

myWaitrose Card
There is no collecting points with the myWaitrose card, instead you are able to get items for free, such as a free hot drink with any purchase, and a free newspaper when you spend £10 or more in store. You will also be eligible for a free Waitrose Food magazine, which features delicious recipes from top chefs and food writers.
myWaitrose also features offers for members throughout the year, varying from week to week. At the time of writing, you can receive 20% off fish every Friday, and 20% off steak every Saturday.
ASOS A-List
Whilst not strictly a loyalty card, ASOS A-List is an online reward scheme which offers five points on every pound spent.
This means that when you have spent £100 on ASOS.com, you will be rewarded with a £5 voucher for your next shop which is valid for 6 months. As you earn more points, you move up levels to unlock more rewards. You will start at ‘entry level’, which means that you can build points to exchange for vouchers.
Once you have accumulated 400 points, you will move up to ‘level 1’ which will reward you with two double points days a year, and a 15% off discount on your birthday. ‘Level 2’ will give you two more double points days and advance notice of any upcoming sales. ‘Level 3’ will give you four triple points days a year, 20% off on your birthday and exclusive early access to sales for 24 hours before they are open to everyone else. ‘Level 5’ grants you further access to sales, and entry to competitions and events.
