Are you missing out on free food? Weekly grocery shopping and eating out can cost an absolute fortune, the average UK family spends roughly more than £53 on their grocery shopping each week which comes out at nearly £3,000 a year. That £3,000 doesn’t even include treats like takeaways and dining out- so it’s no wonder a lot of families are looking for new ways to reduce their food bill.

free food

If you’re looking to reduce your own food bill- I have a new idea for you- use apps and loyalty cards to get yourself some free food! Without these apps you are missing out on some seriously great opportunities- from eating out at restaurants for free to getting some free items with your weekly shopping. Check out my favourite ways to get free food and you might not even need to bring your wallet on your next meal out.

KFC’s Colonel Club

Is there anything better than free chicken? When you sign up to the KFC reward app, you are automatically given 3 free stamps which you can exchange for two free Hot Wings. The Colonel Club app will continue to give you reward stamps every time you eat there- you will receive one stamp for every time you purchase something over £3. The app also gives you exclusive access to deals and offers- keep your eyes peeled for the free food promotions!

Subway’s Subcard

Get free Subway sandwiches when you sign up to the Subway Subcard loyalty scheme. When you make a purchase, ask your server to scan your app and you will earn 10 points for every £1 that you spend at Subway. Once you have redeemed 500 points, this will get you a 6 inch sub of your choice. If you are a new Subcard holder, you can even receive double points throughout your first 28 days as a loyalty card member.

Wuntu

Wuntu is an app available to 3 mobile customers, if you’re not already a 3 mobile customer- it might be worth switching simply for the free food deals offered with the Wuntu app! Free food deals run regularly, with free Domino’s pizza, free drinks from Costa, and £5 meals at Bella Italia having recently been promoted on the app. If you’re already a 3 mobile customer, you are definitely missing out on free food if you don’t have this app.
