What is Vinted?

Vinted serves as a platform for either buying or selling unwanted items.

Vinted has three primary objectives:

  1. Simplify selling – effortlessly earn money by listing your preloved items, offering a convenient means to generate income using your phone or iPad.
  2. Shop intelligently – discover beloved brands at significantly reduced prices compared to the recommended retail price (RRP).
  3. Engage with the community – customize your feed to focus on the specific products you desire.

The Vinted app is accessible on both iOS and Android platforms.

What Are Vinted Offers & How Do They Work?

On Vinted both the buyers and the sellers can make offers on items.

Buyers can make an offer to the seller to purchase an item or bundle at a lower price.

Sellers can entice people who have ‘favourited' their items to make a purchase by offering a discount on the sale price.

Here's where to find stock for Vinted.

Are Your Sales Increased When You Bulk Send Vinted Offers?

Yes!

When it comes to selling on Vinted, buyers are always looking for a bargain. Since Vinted adds a buyer protection fee to the listings, some buyers like to make an offer under asking price so that the buyer protection fee works out to be ‘free'.

Added to that, many of us like to get a bargain, or we are sticking to a budget meaning that we need to save money on purchases.

If your Vinted items aren't selling then you might want to consider bulk sending offers.

Here's why sending Vinted offers to potential buyers works:

  • The buyer gets a notification of the offer, reminding them about an item they previously favourited. Bringing it back into their mind will help them to decide if they want it.
  • FOMO – fear of missing out. Sending them a fantastic offer makes them worried that someone else will snap up the bargain first.
  • Everyone loves a bargain and getting a great offers makes them more likely to make a purchase.

Sending Vinted offers individually is time consuming – you need to find each notification about a Vinted user favouriting your item and then send an offer.

That's why I love to bulk send offers on Vinted.

How to bulk send Vinted Offers Step By Step

To bulk send Vinted offers you are going to need my favourite Vinted tool, SellerAider. You can get two weeks for free to get you started.

bulk send Vinted offers

Once installed navigate to your Vinted profile, and you will want to keep scrolling down until all of your live items are shown.

bulk send Vinted offers

You will see the SellerAider icon on the bottom right of the screen, click this to open up the tool.

Then select ‘Offer to Recent Likers'.

Now instead of relisting with SellerAider where you are selecting the items you want to relist, now you are selecting the items you DON'T want to send offers on. You must select at least one item, so I chose something I don't have any favourites on.

You might want to choose to not send offers on items you've just listed, particularly high value items or items you've listed really cheaply. Or you might want to send different discount amounts for different products.

Then add in your discount. I like to choose a percentage, usually 20%, but you might want to choose an exact amount.

Then hit ‘done'.

SellerAider will then start working through to send the offers. Be sure to leave the browser tab open so that all of the offers can be sent.

How Long Are Vinted Offers Valid For?

Vinted offers for both buyers and sellers are always valid – there's no expiry.

That means that for sellers if you were planning to send an amazing weekend deal, if your item doesn't sell the potential buyer can come back weeks or months later and accept that offer.

To get around this you can send an updated offer with a smaller discount.

Are Vinted Offers Binding?

If you're wondering whether Vinted offers are binding, then as a buyer they aren't binding. You can make an offer and not follow through with the purchase, which annoys lots of Vinted sellers.

I might accept a low offer because I am already going to the parcelshop, and then if the buyer comes and buys it a week later and it is my only sale, I'm losing time and petrol money taking just one item to be posted.

For sellers your offers are binding, and the buyer can buy at that offer at any time if your item hasn't sold. You can resend a different offer if you don't want the same offer to apply./

How Many Offers Can I Make On Vinted?

As a buyer on Vinted you can make 25 offers per day.

As a seller on Vinted there is no limit to the number of offers you can make.

Do Vinted Offers Include Postage?

Vinted offers, whether made by the buyer or seller, won't include postage.

Of course you can make an offer amount that deducts the cost of the postage.

Can You Turn Vinted Offers Off?

You can't turn Vinted offers off, but if you are a seller you can hide which items you have ‘favourited' which means a seller cannot send you an offer or message you about buying the item.

To do this go to Settings and scroll down to your Privacy Settings and toggle off ‘notify sellers when I favourite their items'.

Whenever you like!

I have a lot of luck when I send offers out early on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but that doesn't stop me from sending offers out throughout the week.

How Much Should I Offer Off?

I generally stick to 20%, increasing it around payday weekend to 30% for more sales.

It is completely up to you!
