trip around the world

Many of us want to travel the world, see new countries, embrace different cultures. Even though many of us want to do that, we don't all have the money to do it. Well, this blog post is all about that, the fact you don't need to have a huge wallet to travel! Let's get you on your dream trip around the world!

Figure Out Where You Want To Go

Firstly, figure out where you want to go. What countries do you want to visit? Where do you want to travel to, see, explore, discover? Many people want to visit New Zealand, Australia, Canada, South America, Thailand and many other incredible countries with fascinating cultures! List the countries you want to go to and the places you'd like to enjoy whilst you are there. This will then help you to figure out how much time you'll spend in each place.

How Much Is This Going To Cost You?

Look at the cost of flights, accommodation, food. Generally speaking people tend to budget £50 a day when they are travelling. This means you need to figure out how much cash you have before you go. How will you fund this adventure? It could be getting a part time job before you go, or even working as you enjoy your trip around the world!

Find Ways To Cut The Cost

This is one of the ways you can fund your travel, by working in the countries you are exploring. This could be bar jobs or working on a farm as you stay in the village for a few weeks. You could even get a full time job like teaching English to school children or becoming an au pair or tour guide. These jobs would mean that you can work during the day, and explore countries whilst living and having a job there. You don't have to stay for years, you could just plan to have a year in a different country. Having a job there will mean you could even make money and save money whilst you enjoy the culture of a different place. Perhaps you could then take those skills and visit another country for another year. Slowly working your way through your dream countries and your trip around the world.

There are other ways to cut the cost of travel too. Some credit cards let you build up air miles as you spend, which would cut the price of your flights. Using sharing apps whilst you are abroad can help you half the price you are paying. Staying in hostels, cooking your own meals, walking instead of pay for transport and using rail cards and tourist cards.
