How much do you love Halloween? Halloween spending is around £500 million every year, with people getting into the groove of fright night with decorations, food and lots of sweets! It seems like one of the most perfect times of year to capitalise on popularity to earn some cash. How can you make money at Halloween though? What ideas can you use to attract interest and get people to hand over their hard-earned cash? Let's have a look!

Sell scary supplies

There are lots of people who want to decorate their houses for Halloween. This is where you could come in and offer supplies for the spooktacular event at an attractive and affordable price. By wholesale goodies cheap and sell them at a profit. You could have an online shop or hire a market stall for a couple of weeks. Perhaps you could use social media, such as Facebook groups to let people know about the goods you have available. From paper plates and cardboard cut outs to animatronic models and fancy dress costumes, you can help people enjoy All Hallows Eve.

Host a themed party

Lots of people like to get dressed up in scary costumes and head out on the town for Halloween. How about teaming up with a local venue or hiring out a place to host a themed party? You could promote it online, by leaflet and by word of mouth. You could sell tickets for anywhere between £5 and £20, depending on what is included with admission. You could have themed cocktails, a great DJ or perhaps a live band. Create the best Halloween party in town and you'll have ghouls, witches and wizards a-plenty coming along for the fight of their lives!

Put together trick-or-treat bags

Are you amazing at putting gift bags together? Maybe you can turn basic sweets and crafts into a stunning creation? How about putting together trick-or-treat bags for people to give to their kids, grandchildren or hand out at their doors on Halloween? Include stickers, sweet treats, badges, face paints and even colouring in books. You could sell made-up bags of orange and black sweets for 50p or bigger packs for a couple of quid. All beautifully tied with a ribbon. Advertise them for free on local Facebook pages and offer delivery too.

Start a pumpkin patch

This one might take a little more planning. If you have some land, or perhaps access to land, how about growing your own pumpkins? There are lots of ways to do this, in your garden or down at the allotment. You can grow pumpkins and sell them! Pumpkins are hugely traditional at this time of year with carving and pie to name but a couple of Pumpkin-esqe ideas. You could even open your own ‘pick your own Pumpkin' business. A great way to make money at Halloween!
