Selling on Vinted is a great way to not only clear some clutter but also to make some extra money. Getting more sales on Vinted relies on a variety of things, but one thing that really helps is to keep listing new items, and relisting your older listings. Unlike eBay, there isn't an easy way to relist your items on Vinted. In this post I am going to cover how to relist on Vinted to get more sales.

What is Vinted?
Vinted serves as a platform for either buying or selling unwanted items.
Vinted has three primary objectives:
- Simplify selling – effortlessly earn money by listing your preloved items, offering a convenient means to generate income using your phone or iPad.
- Shop intelligently – discover beloved brands at significantly reduced prices compared to the recommended retail price (RRP).
- Engage with the community – customize your feed to focus on the specific products you desire.
The Vinted app is accessible on both iOS and Android platforms.

Does Relisting Items On Vinted Boost Your Sales?
Yes!
When it comes to selling on Vinted, Vinted favours accounts that are regularly uploading items for sale. This is because Vinted’s algorithm prioritizes fresh listings, pushing them higher in search results and making them more visible to potential buyers.
If your Vinted items aren't selling then you might want to consider relisting them.
However, if you don’t have new items to upload regularly, relisting your existing items can be a great way to maintain activity on your account while increasing your chances of making a sale.
Here’s why relisting works:
- Increased Visibility: When you relist an item, it appears as a “new” listing, meaning more people will see it in their feed and search results.
- Better Engagement: Buyers tend to browse the most recent listings first, so an older item that has been sitting in your store for weeks may not get as much attention unless it is relisted.
- Higher Likelihood of Selling: The more frequently your items appear in front of potential buyers, the better your chances of making a sale—especially if your listing catches the eye of someone who missed it the first time around.
While relisting can be a fantastic strategy to boost sales, it's important to do it the right way to avoid issues with Vinted’s duplicate listing policy. In the next section, we’ll cover why Vinted doesn’t encourage relisting and how you can do it without getting flagged.
Here's where to find stock for Vinted.
Why don't Vinted like you to relist items?
If you take down an item on Vinted either by deleting it or hiding it, and then upload the same photos without any changes, Vinted will remove the new listing for being a duplicate item.
Vinted don't actually like you relisting your items because they want you to pay for features such as bumping your item(s) (See how Vinted make their money to understand more).
How to Relist on Vinted manually
There are a few ways that you can relist your items on Vinted manually.
However, be warned that they can be quite time consuming and boring!
The first way is to take a screenshot of each of your photos and then manually crop them so they appear to be slightly different to the Vinted bots. You'll need to crop them anyway to remove any extra background when taking a screenshot. If your listing has 3 or more photos this can get very tedious.
Another way to relist on Vinted is to retake your photographs using a different background – for example if you took them previously in front of a wardrobe then retake photos using a door as a background. Again, this can be really tedious and if you're only selling items for a few pounds then it might not be worth your time.
How to relist on Vinted automatically
Thankfully there is a tool that will help you to automatically relist your items on Vinted.
It is called SellerAider and it comes with a two week free trial with no payment details needed, so it is worth using it for those two weeks alone to relist your items once a week or so.
To use it you will need to be on a laptop or desktop with the Chrome browser, as it is an extension that is added to Chrome.
Then head to your Vinted profile where you will see a whole host of options available to you.

There are so many great features like sending offers to likers, but we are going to look at the first option – relisting your items. Before you click on relist listings I would recommend scrolling all the way down to your oldest listed items so that you can relist those first.

You can then tick all of the listings you want to relist.

It is then time to choose your settings. Make sure that you select ‘Add Crop' to make your images appear different to Vinted. I am a fan of 5%, cropping on all sides. Then when you are happy select ‘Done'.

My Success With Relisting on Vinted
I started with a free trial of SellerAider on a Saturday night, and within 24 hours I had 6 sales – 5 of them were on older, relisted listings, and 1 was a fresh listing I had created that day.
Tips for relisting on Vinted
Now that you know how to relist on Vinted, here are my top tips for relisting on Vinted.
- Always change your photos up so that Vinted see them as a new photo. This could be cropping your photos, making a slight change to the rotation or taking entirely new photos.
- Choose a good time of the day to relist. I find that lunch times or just after dinner time is when I get the most views on my listings, so relisting then works well for me.
- Spread out your relisting throughout the week. Instead of relisting everything all at once, spread them out over the week to keep your Vinted profile fresh.
- Consider adjusting the pricing – a lower price could entice a buyer.
- Use psychological pricing (e.g., £9.99 instead of £10) to attract buyers.
Alternative Ways to Boost Sales on Vinted
While relisting items is a great way to keep your Vinted profile active and increase your chances of making sales, there are several other strategies that can help you attract buyers and move your items faster.
1. Engage with Potential Buyers Promptly
When a buyer messages you with a question about an item, responding quickly can make all the difference between securing a sale or losing their interest. Many buyers browse multiple listings at once, so if they don’t get a response in a timely manner, they may purchase a similar item from another seller instead.
💡 Tip: Enable push notifications for Vinted so you can reply as soon as possible. Even a friendly response like “Hey! Thanks for your message, let me check that for you” can keep the conversation going and make the buyer feel valued.
2. Use Vinted’s ‘Send Offers’ Feature
Vinted allows sellers to send private offers to users who have liked their items. This is a great way to encourage hesitant buyers to complete their purchase.
💡 How to Use This Effectively:
- Send offers with a small discount (e.g., 5–10%) to make buyers feel like they’re getting a special deal.
- If an item has been sitting unsold for a while, consider a larger discount to clear it out.
- Be strategic—sending offers in the evening or at the end of the month (when people get paid) can increase conversions.
3. Write Detailed and Accurate Descriptions
A well-written description can be the difference between a buyer choosing your item over someone else’s. Make sure to include:
✅ Brand Name – Many buyers search for specific brands, so listing this improves discoverability.
✅ Size and Measurements – Sizing varies between brands, so providing exact measurements (especially for clothing) can reduce uncertainty.
✅ Condition Notes – Be honest about any flaws, such as small marks or signs of wear. Buyers appreciate transparency and are more likely to trust you.
✅ Material Information – Some buyers look for specific fabrics like cotton or silk, so mentioning this can be helpful.
4. Cross-Promote Your Listings on Social Media
If you have a social media presence, sharing your Vinted listings can drive more traffic to your profile. Platforms like Instagram, Facebook Marketplace, and Pinterest can help you reach more buyers, especially if you sell niche items like vintage clothing, designer pieces, or collectibles.
💡 Ways to Promote Your Listings:
- Share a story on Instagram with a swipe-up link to your Vinted shop.
- Post in Facebook groups dedicated to buying and selling fashion.
- Use Pinterest to create a board featuring your best items with links to your listings.
- Engage in fashion or secondhand communities on Reddit or Twitter to connect with like-minded shoppers.
By using these strategies alongside relisting, you can maximize your sales potential on Vinted and create a more successful selling experience!
