Now the big question has been asked, you’re going to have a thousand more focused around your wedding! One of the most important being where should you host your wedding? The venue is probably the single most important decision you’ll make based on your wedding so it deserves a good amount of thought put into it. Nowadays there are so many options for venues for weddings varying from churches, hotels, restaurants, beaches, town halls, barn venues, or local sports or country clubs – the options are really are endless now!

This blog post will help you figure out what options are best for your dream wedding venue! It will involve answering questions based on what type of wedding you want.

Local or further from home?

Do you want to have your wedding close to home near to all your families and friends are or would you prefer to get married somewhere new and exciting? If you’re after the latter, you’ll need to consider travel costings both for yourselves and for all your guests attending. I’d suggest planning it around your wedding budget.

What type of venue?

Are you keen on the idea of a hotel wedding due to the ease of having onsite accommodation and the opportunity to rent out your own exclusive space or are you more of a fan of something like a sandy beach wedding? There really are so many options now so I’d recommend doing your research on what’s available and what fits your budget and theme.

You may be after something rustic and quintessentially British like Cain Manor have to offer or you may be more interested in something more intimate like a small chapel or church. There are many different options on your venue type to choose from so really dedicate a lot of time to figuring out what suits you best.

How many guests will you be inviting?

This will have a huge effect on what type of venue to choose from as you’ll want to make sure your venue is equipped to entertain all your guests. If you’re planning on a small intimate wedding your options will be much more varied but be wary that there will be a minimum requirement for guests too so bear that in mind too! Likewise, if you're planning on having an extensive list of invites you'll eliminate the choices of smaller more intimate venues so plan your guests wisely.

What wedding dress will you and your bridesmaids be wearing?

May not seem to have much of a connection but many wedding dresses are built with gorgeous and elaborate designs which the venue will need to allow practicality for. This applies to the designs for your bridesmaids too as certain long trials may not be the best idea for a beach wedding for example.
