When you first start selling on Vinted, postage can feel confusing. With so many delivery options from Evri and Yodel to InPost, DPD, and more, it can be hard to know which to choose or how it all works. The good news is that once you have sent your first parcel or two, it quickly becomes second nature. Here’s everything you need to know about Vinted postage options, including how each courier works, what to expect, and which are best for your items.

What is Vinted?
Vinted serves as a platform for either buying or selling unwanted items.
Vinted has three primary objectives:
- Simplify selling – effortlessly earn money by listing your preloved items, offering a convenient means to generate income using your phone or iPad.
- Shop intelligently – discover beloved brands at significantly reduced prices compared to the recommended retail price (RRP).
- Engage with the community – participate in Vinted forums or customize your feed to focus on the specific products you desire.
The Vinted app is accessible on both iOS and Android platforms.

How Vinted Postage Works
On Vinted you select which postage methods you want to apply to all of your listings. Unlike eBay, you don't choose the postage option per listing. When the buyer makes a purchase, they choose from your available delivery methods at checkout.
For most orders, Vinted provides a prepaid shipping label either digitally with a QR code, or a label that you can print out. That means you do not pay for postage upfront, the buyer does, and you will not need to type out or write out any addresses. Either print the label, attach it securely, and drop off the parcel at the correct location, or take your phone with the QR code to your drop-off location.
You have five working days from the sale date to post your parcel, but if you need to you can request to extend this deadline. If you miss this window, Vinted will cancel the sale, refund the buyer and you will receive negative feedback automatically so it is worth keeping an eye on your deadlines.
How Long Does Vinted Postage Take
Delivery times vary depending on which courier the buyer chooses, but most Vinted parcels arrive within two to five working days after drop-off. Evri, Yodel, and InPost are usually the quickest, while Royal Mail and Relay can take a little longer depending on location. Larger items sent through AnyVan may take several days to arrange and deliver.
Vinted automatically tracks each parcel in the app, so both you and the buyer can see updates in real time. Once the buyer confirms receipt, your payment is released to your Vinted balance. It is always worth posting as soon as you can, as faster dispatch often leads to better feedback and repeat buyers.
Why Is Vinted Postage So Cheap
Vinted postage is cheaper than posting items yourself because Vinted has negotiated bulk delivery rates with major couriers like Evri, Yodel, InPost, and Royal Mail. Since millions of parcels are sent through the platform every year, couriers offer Vinted discounted prices that individual sellers would not normally get.
The cost of postage is automatically added to the buyer’s total at checkout, so sellers do not pay upfront. Vinted also simplifies the process with prepaid labels and integrated tracking, saving time as well as money. These agreements are the reason you can send parcels across the UK for just a few pounds instead of the usual retail postage rates.
Evri – Print at home or QR code
Evri remains one of Vinted’s most popular options, mainly because it is easy and affordable. Buyers can save money by getting their items delivered to a local pick up point instead of their home address, meaning that they can make extrs savings.
Type: Drop-off at a participating parcel shop or Evri locker.
Label: Printable or QR code (many shops print for you)
Tracking: Full tracking via the Vinted app
Drop-off points: Co-op, Tesco, One Stop, and thousands of independent shops
Evri is ideal for clothing, accessories, and small household items. Delivery usually takes two to four working days after drop-off.
Royal Mail – QR code
Royal Mail is another common postage option on Vinted, particularly handy if you live in a rural area or already use your local Post Office regularly. Previously you would have to pay out of pocket for your Royal Mail delivery and then receive the money back for postage once the buyer accepts your parcel, however this has recently changed where Vinted will give you a QR code to scan at your Post Office.
Type: Drop-off at any Post Office
Label: QR code (no printer needed)
Tracking: Tracked 48
Royal Mail can be slightly more expensive than other couriers, but many buyers prefer the reliability and familiarity. Plus buyers can also choose delivery to their local Post Office to make a small saving on postage.

Yodel Door to Door
This is one of Yodel’s newest and most convenient options. The parcel is collected from your home and delivered straight to the buyer’s door.
Type: Home collection and delivery
Label: Printable or QR (driver can scan on collection)
Tracking: Available in-app
Best for: Busy sellers who prefer not to travel to a shop
To use this option, make sure your parcel is ready and clearly labelled if printed. You will receive a collection window after purchase, and you do not need to pay anything as the buyer covers all postage costs.
Yodel Store to Door – QR code
This option lets you drop off your parcel at a Yodel Direct store for home delivery to the buyer.
Type: Drop-off to shop then home delivery
Label: QR code
Tracking: Yes, through Vinted
Drop-off points: Local Yodel Direct stores and some lockers
Yodel Store to Door is a good middle ground between convenience and cost, with delivery typically taking two to three working days.
Yodel Store to Store – QR code
With Store to Store, you and the buyer both use Yodel Direct stores for drop-off and collection.
Type: Store to store
Label: Printable or QR code
Tracking: Full in-app tracking
Delivery time: Two to four working days
This tends to be one of the cheapest Yodel services and works well for non-fragile items such as clothing or books.
24/7 InPost Locker – Print at home or QR code
InPost lockers are a game-changer if you prefer to post parcels outside normal shop hours.
Type: Drop-off locker to buyer’s locker
Label: QR code or printable label
Tracking: Full tracking available
Access: 24/7
You simply scan your QR code, pop your parcel into an empty locker, and close the door. InPost lockers are dotted around supermarkets, petrol stations, and car parks.
InPost Home Delivery – Print at home or QR code
If your buyer prefers home delivery instead of locker collection, you can also send with InPost Home Delivery.
Type: Drop-off locker to buyer’s home
Label: QR code or printable label
Tracking: Yes, visible in the app
Delivery time: Two to three working days
This option combines locker convenience for sellers with home delivery comfort for buyers, perfect if your local area has several locker points.
DPD Pickup
DPD is known for reliability and precise delivery updates, making it a popular choice for higher-value items.
Type: Drop-off to buyer home delivery
Label: Printable only
Tracking: Excellent real-time tracking with delivery windows
Drop-off: DPD Pickup points, often shops or pharmacies
DPD can be slightly pricier but offers peace of mind. The buyer receives a one-hour delivery slot, and parcels are usually delivered in one to two working days.
Relay
Relay is a lesser-known option that you probably want to turn off in your Vinted postage settings because it is only in London!
Type: Drop-off to store collection
Label: Printable or QR code
Tracking: Available through the app
Delivery: Two to five working days
Relay is affordable and simple to use, however it only works in London. The buyer collects their parcel from a participating shop using the code sent via text or email.
AnyVan
AnyVan is the go-to option for large or bulky items that are too big for standard couriers.
Type: Door-to-door courier service
Label: None required, the courier handles everything
Collection: From your address
Delivery time: Agreed directly with the buyer
Best for: Furniture, home decor, large bundles
When you select AnyVan, the buyer pays for collection and delivery based on their postcode and the item’s size. The courier then contacts both of you to arrange the collection and delivery dates. This option is brilliant for sellers who do not drive or cannot get large items to a drop-off point.
How To Package Your Items for Vinted
Whichever courier you use, good packaging is essential! Use mailing bags for clothing and soft items, and bubble wrap or boxes for anything breakable. I buy funky patterned mailing bags on Temu and often get feedback mentioning my mailing bags.
Supermarkets, off-licences, and corner shops often give away free boxes, which are perfect for bulkier sales.
Combining Postage on Vinted
If a buyer wants to purchase more than one of your items, they need to create a bundle in the app before paying. This allows you to post everything together using one prepaid label, saving time and packaging. Once the bundle is created, you will receive a single label that covers all items included.
If a buyer purchases items separately rather than as a bundle, you cannot combine them into one parcel. Each sale generates its own prepaid label, and Vinted requires you to send each parcel with the label it was bought on. Sending multiple items together under one label when they were purchased separately can cause tracking and payment issues, so always post them individually unless a proper bundle has been made.
