Are you looking to make money on the side but don’t know where to look? Do you want to know how you could make money on Instagram?

Most people know Instagram to be just a social media platform where you can follow others and enjoy their content while sharing your own, however, these days, it is so much more than that. Now you can make money on Instagram, and many people do this.

The more popular you are the more money you can make in the various methods. If you want to learn more about how to make money on Instagram, keep reading on.

How would have thought that you would ever be able to make money while using Instagram? Living in the world of the future, some people even manage to make a living and fully support themselves by using Instagram and taking advantage of it.

One of the first ways that you can make money by using Instagram is through the comment section. Or rather, instead of just the comment section of your content, just your overall engagement in general. Working out how much you can get paid from Instagram is based on the number of followers that you have, as well as the amount of engagement that you receive on your content.

On Instagram, there are different types of influencers based on the number of followers they have, and the ratio of follower count to engagement rate is how to determine the money you will receive. You must be on the status of an influencer before you consider this though. If you want to increase your engagement, you could pay for things such as auto comment bots to be active in your comment section or to engage with your content, therefore making more money in a shorter amount of time.

Affiliate Marketing

This is slightly different from being an influencer, where instead of being paid by Instagram you get paid by businesses and brands to market their products. This kind of marketing is typically paid per number of clicks that you get on the affiliate link that you share with your followers, so it helps to have a larger following.

Many people will just work with any brand they can to earn more money, however, there are a lot of people on Instagram who choose to only work with brands that they believe in and brands that they think are worthy of promotion. Essentially when working as an affiliate you get paid a commission per person that you send to the business or brand that you are partnering with.

Ads

Very similar to that of affiliate marketing, you have ads or advertising. This is different in that, although you are still working with a business or brand and they are paying you to advertise their products, they will pay you a set amount to do a certain number of posts, whether they are videos or photos, on the different Instagram features.

When it comes to Instagram advertising, typically the more followers you have, or the more popular you are, the more people would be willing to pay you to advertise for them as it is more worth it for them too.

Sell Old Stuff

Last but certainly not least, if you don’t have many followers, and cant reach the status of influencer or work with other brands, another great way to make money on Instagram is to take the chance to sell the old things that you no longer need or want anymore.

Instagram can be used as a tool to sell your old things and make some extra money from things you don’t use anymore. This is a great way to clear up your living space and still take advantage of Instagram to make some extra cash on the side. While this won't pay as well as doing an ad for a business, it is still something and you are getting some chores done in the process.
