A Week of Spring Cleaning – the living room

We're almost at the end of our week of Spring Cleaning, and you should be noticing the difference it has made to your home. Today we are tackling the living room.

Dust:

  • Light fittings.
  • Above the doors.
  • Skirting boards.
  • Surfaces.
  • Ornaments.
  • TV screen.
  • Home bar

Wipe & Clean:

  • Walls.
  • Skirting boards.
  • Door knobs.
  • Light switches.
  • Wash textiles such as throws and cushion covers.

Vacuum/sweep/mop:

  • Floor – moving items out of the way to clean underneath instead of just around.
  • Sofas & chairs.
  •  

Sort:

  • Electronic wires – are they all in use? Could they be labelled?
  • DVD collection – are there any you can sell or donate?
  • Book collection – are there any you can sell or donate?
  • Remove rubbish.
  • Put items away where they belong. If they don’t belong in this room then put them in a box or a bag to put away later.

List:

  • Jobs to be completed at a later date such as touching up paint, grouting tiles, etc.
  • Item(s) you need to restock.
