Summer is almost here, I promise, and it is a great time to make some extra money. Whether you have summer off or not there is still time to make some extra cash. Here are 5 great ways to make money this summer.

1) Dog walking
There is no better time to start your dog walking side hustle than in summer. You get the benefits of staying active, being outside in beautiful weather, spending your time with dogs and making money. With so many people going on their summer holidays it is a great time to start!
You can find your clients by asking your friends and family if they need a dog walker, and chances are that they will know someone who needs a dog walker too. You can also advertise locally with leaflet drops, posters in shop windows and Facebook groups.
You can expect to make around £10 an hour depending on the clients you get.
2) Make over £150 this summer with Cashback
Cashback is a fantastic way to earn money on the side, and with an average payout of over £150 this will be a real boost to your earnings over the summer period.
When you sign up to Cashback you will have 15 different tasks to complete before you can cash out, and each offer is worth a different amount of money. It takes a few hours to complete all of the offers available, so you can fit it in around your other summer commitments – and hey, if your other summer commitments are just lounging around the garden soaking up the sun, that’s fine! Psst, if you are in the garden then why not get some free gardening supplies!
Over the years that Cashback (previously 20Cogs) has existed they have paid out over £1,000,000 to their users. You can see from my previous 20 Cogs payment proof that it is well worth joining. The payments are made via PayPal.
The offers on Cashback vary from small tasks to taking out free trials. There is something for everyone on Cashback.
This is a great way to make money this summer (and the whole year through!).

3) Make money selling printables
Printables are printable designs that you can digitally download and use for a whole range of different things. You can find printables for planners, goal-trackers, posters, artwork and loads more. They have grown increasingly popular over the past few years and can be super useful to the user, but you can also make money by selling the printables.
Simply spend a few hours coming up with a few designs before putting them up for sale. This is a great way to make a passive income over summer.
4) Reselling
If you can spot a bargain from a mile off and love the thrill of getting a great deal then reselling might be for you.
Reselling is where you buy an item, usually from a charity shop or car boot sale, and resell it on for a profit.
Summer is a great time to get into reselling because the charity shops have a lot of stock from people having summer time clear outs!
5) Rent out a room
If you have a spare room then summer is a great time to get it rented out to make some extra money.
University students might want somewhere to stay over summer if they can’t go home, and with many people travelling over summer it is a great time to cash in. You can sign up to Rent-a-Room and earn up to £7,500 per year tax-free.

I just must make some more money this year. I’m getting married this winter!
Summer is just perfect to start saving money. There is plenty of cheap&fresh food everywhere, days are long and you can use bike more often. This way you will cut your spending in half. Saving is much easier when you already have something on your account. 😉
