There are so many ways to make money from your phone, and one app that is gaining popularity for paying you to play games is Tester Buddy. In this post I am going to share some great things about the app, and some not so great things, as well as what you need to watch out for when using Tester Buddy to earn money. In my house, my husband is the gamer and I am more about the mobile games and cosy games. I love earning money from playing games!

What is Tester Buddy?

Tester Buddy is an iOs app that pays you to play games.

You earn coins for downloading games to your phone and then completing different tasks within the game.

It could be that you have to reach certain levels to earn more coins, watch in-game adverts, and download games from the adverts.

Previously I had warned my followers against using Tester Buddy, however, I think it can be an okay money-making in certain situations, which I will explain below.

How do you get paid from Tester Buddy?

You need to earn 5,600 points on Tester Buddy to receive £1. There's no benefit to waiting to claim more money – £10 on Tester Buddy is 5,600 points multiplied by 10.

You can choose to receive your earnings via Paypal or Amazon gift card.

Is Tester Buddy legit?

Yes, the Tester Buddy app is legit in the fact that you do get paid for earning points by playing games and completing other in task games.

However we've found that some of their payouts aren't great compared to other websites.

For example, they are offering an initial £2 reward to download Dice Dreams, and it isn't until you have actually installed and opened the app that you can see how much you can earn in total.

You might be wondering why this is an issue.

At the time of writing, Inbox Pounds are paying up to £51.50 for playing Dice Dreams and reaching certain levels.

In order to get paid for playing games, whether it is with Tester Buddy, Inbox Pounds, Swagbucks or another offer wall, you must be a first-time user of the app you are downloading.

If you download it via Tester Buddy and find that you could earn more at Inbox Pounds, you cannot then go on to complete the offer on Inbox Pounds.

Whereas the likes of Swagbucks and Inbox Pounds will show you all the earning options upfront before you download a game so that you can make an informed decision about whether to complete the offer or not.

Another thing to watch out for is the adverts on the games on Tester Buddy.

Some of the game offers expect you to watch a certain number of ads AND download something from the ads.

For most apps this isn't an issue, however one advert I saw was for Puzzles and Chaos.

Puzzles and Chaos is currently on Inbox Pounds for a whopping £236 if you complete everything.

However, if you went ahead and downloaded it from an advert in a game on Tester Buddy, you now wouldn't be able to do the offer on Inbox Pounds because you wouldn't be a new user of the app.

By making mere pennies at Tester Buddy you could miss out on earning hundreds of pounds elsewhere.

Is there a better option?

I would always recommend that you try looking for gaming offers on Inbox Pounds and Swagbucks before turning to Tester Buddy to make money from playing games.

Inbox Pounds is great to earn money from playing games. You get a £1 bonus for signing up, and you can arrange the offers via max – min payout, so you can see the highest-paid offers first.

Then you can click through to see the terms and conditions of each offer, such as the levels you need to complete and the timeframe you have in which to complete the offer.

Swagbucks is also a great option – you get a £3 bonus when you sign up with our link, and they are one of the most reputable ‘get paid to' websites out there.

You can also arrange the offers by how much you will earn in SBs, which you can convert into a whole host of gift cards and rewards.

Other platforms we love include FreeCash and RewardXP.

I think the Tester Buddy app is okay in some situations – if you check higher-paying websites like Inbox Pounds and Swagbucks first.
