Winter is coming! And i am not just quoting from Game of Thrones but it is actually coming. There will now be a rush for winter clothes but if that’s not bad enough we have a lockdown on top. So if you have a need for a new cosy clothing for chilly winter destinations or just chilling in our own chilly climate it would be a great idea to check out Protest.

Who are Protest?

Protest are a Holland based company that focuses on designer sportswear. They were founded by snowboarders. So they should know a thing or two over staying warm in the cold.

The Clothes

Their clothes are made from the best materials for keeping warm and dry, either on the slopes or popping out and about. Made to be windproof, waterproof and warm. Sounds perfect for the UK let alone a ski slope. Yet also remain flexible, since that is important in both sports and everyday life.

Sustainability 

Not content to merely create and sell great winter clothing. Protest are also focusing on sustainability this year.

They are using recycled materials such as PET, nylon and rubber in their clothing but are also working to eliminate PFCs from their supply chain. PFCs are made man chemicals that can turn clothing water repellent, however they are harmful to the environment. Protest aims to be PFC free by 2022!

As you would expect from a company founded by those that know what is needed, Protest’s fleeces are of the highest quality. Both the men’s fleeces and women’s fleeces are stretchy and made from an insulating yet breathable fabric. Keeps the sweat from a winter shopping trip off you but keeps you cosy and warm.

There is a fantastic range of colours and styles to suit any taste, as long as it is approved by your wife that is.

 

Ski Jackets

Come on the founders of Protest are snowboarders, this is where they would love to focus their attention.

Both the men’s ski jackets and women’s ski jackets have been made from multi-functioning materials. Making them waterproof, windproof  and warm yet breathable, with extra ventilation zips for those who have worked it up on the slopes or a winter jog. 

They might have been designed for a slope but they make great winter jackets able to take whatever the UK weather could throw at it with ease.
