If you’re a blogger, you might have felt the impact of Google’s updates over the last couple of years — I know I most certainly have. When your traffic dips, it can be frustrating, especially if your blog has been your main source of income. That’s one of the reasons I started exploring other ways to make money, and KDP quickly became one of my favourites.
One of the biggest advantages we have as bloggers is that we already have content — and lots of it. You can take that content, rework it, and turn it into something you can sell on Amazon.
For example, I took my affiliate marketing course and repurposed it into both a paperback and an ebook, which I enrolled in Kindle Select. That means I earn money not only when someone buys the book, but also every time a Kindle Unlimited reader flips through its pages.
You can do exactly the same thing with your blog posts.
Here’s how I approached it:
Within a few hours, I had a full book ready to sell — all built from content I already had.
But that’s not the only option. You can also create complementary products that tie in with your existing blog content.
For example, I designed my Vinted Planner using assets from Creative Fabrica. I customised it to suit my readers — people selling on Vinted — and now it sells both on Amazon and on Vinted itself.
Think about what would make sense for your niche:
These products don’t replace your blog — they add to it. They give your readers something physical to buy and use, and they create a brand-new income stream.
And if you’re stuck for ideas, that’s another perfect moment to use ChatGPT (or any AI tool). You can literally type something like:
“I want to publish something on Amazon KDP. My top blog posts are about [your topics]. What kinds of products could I create that would complement those?”
AI will give you a list of ideas to spark inspiration, and you can refine it from there.
Whether you repurpose your blog content or create something entirely new to complement it, the key is to start with what you already know your audience loves — and turn that into something they can buy.
