What is print on demand?

Print on demand, sometimes called POD, is where you can sell your own custom designs on different types of products.

Instead of ordering lots of items in various colours and sizes and holding on to stock (with a big financial outlay) these items are printed on demand from third-party providers.

The ‘on demand’ bit means that when an item sells it triggers an order from your supplier, who take care of everything else for you.

What is Etsy?

Etsy is an online marketplace that connects buyers and sellers.

It is known for sellers to sell their handmade goods and crafts, however you can also find vintage items, supplies and digital products on Etsy.

The products that are sold on Etsy include:

  • Arts
  • Crafts
  • Custom greeting cards
  • Crafting supplies
  • Stationery supplies
  • Jewellery
  • Paper goods – postcards, prints, cards, etc.
  • Housewares
  • Clothing and accessories

And many more.

Can you sell print on demand items on Etsy?

Digital products and print on demand products are one of the best items to sell on Etsy.

As long as you have created the designs yourself, or have a commercial license for them, you can sell them on Etsy.
