So far we have realised our what and our why, set up WordPress and chosen our branding.
We now need a plan to launch your blog.
In order to launch your blog you will need to have some things in place.
Launching your blog with just one blog post telling people what you will be blogging about in the future isn’t going to hold their attention.
I recommend that you start a blog with 10 blog posts published, showing your readers the variety of topics that you will be writing about. This gives them a chance to see if they like what you have to say, and become regular readers.
Once you have your 10 blog posts ready, you also need to think about how often you are going to publish new blog posts. You don’t want to get overwhelmed by planning to blog daily, so set a realistic goal here. 1-3 times a week should be doable.
Here is a quick checklist of other things you should have in place before you launch your blog:
- Your theme set up how you want it to look
- Blog categories
- About me page
- Contact me page
- Social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook page, Pinterest account, Instagram account and YouTube)
Getting all of these in place will take time, but means you can launch with a bang!
There is no best time to launch your blog, so don’t overthink it. Just go for it.
Don’t forget that you can also join my Facebook Mastermind group to ask questions and chat to other like minded people. I can’t wait to see you there!
