Day 10 is writing your About page; disclosure and privacy policy
About page
An about page tells both your readers and any potential sponsors/brands more about you. It offers a brief snapshot of your personality and what they can expect to get from your blog. Mine is here. It is vital for any blog, no matter how anonymous you want to be. Here are some great resources:

Privacy policy
This is very boring, but if you are using Adsense, Google Analytics to track your views, or even Jetpack stats then you need a privacy policy. If you want to hear from Google then here’s their spiel.
Disclosure
According to the Advertising Standards Agency, you need to declare your sponsored posts and affiliate links on your blog. In America you have to make your disclosure REALLY visible, after every affiliate link on your blog and social media posts. We are a little bit more lax here but they still need to be disclosed. Here’s what I do:
Built into my theme template I have a disclosure – scroll down under the post to read it. I also have one in my sidebar. You could get it added to every post under the title as “this post may contain affiliate links”. It just has to be declared somewhere on your blog.
If you are an Amazon affiliate then you also need to add a bit about that – mine is “MakeMoneyWithoutAJob.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk“
If I get asked to write a sponsored post then I have to disclose this. I use phrases like “sponsored post” or “collaborative post” to let my readers know.
I have combined my privacy policy and disclosure and linked to it in my footer.
