What do you do if you need money quickly? How can you make some speedy cash? You might need some money for a number of things. It could be for an unexpected bill, to help cover this month's rent or simply to put food on the table if you've found yourself in a poor financial situation. Whatever you need it for, let's have a look at 11 fast ways to make money.

1. Matched Betting

Can you make money by watching football?

One of the quickest ways to make a lump sum of cash is by matched betting. It's 100% legal, risk free and on top of that, tax free too! There are hundreds of bookmakers out there and many of them try to entice new customers to sign up with them by offering free bets. This is where the matching comes in, by using a betting exchange. 2. Part Time Job

If you have spare time, why not take on a part time job in order to earn some extra cash? If you spend your evenings scrolling through your phone whilst sat on the sofa, you could be using that time to earn some extra money. It could be delivering for a local takeaway or maybe working a few hours in the shop at the end of your road. A part time job can give you some cash quickly as many of them pay weekly, some even at the end of your shift! Take a look around your local are and see if anyone is hiring near you!

3. Sell Your Stuff

Look around your house right now and see what you no longer want. There are things in our homes that we don't even use, that we could part with and no even notice. These things are worth money. The saying goes that one man's trash is another's treasure. Even broken TVs can be worth something as people buy them to fix. You can sell on eBay for a fee or avoid fees altogether by selling on Facebook Marketplace. Maybe you have a yard sale to get some cash? Gather up the things you don't want, take photos of them and get them listed. You'll be surprised at how many people get in touch and how much money you can make!

4. Earn Cashback

Next on our list of fast ways to make money is cashback. If you spend money online and aren't clicking through to the retailer via a cashback site, you're missing out on loads of cash! Sites like Quidco, TopCashback, Fat Cheese and Widilo allow you to earn a percentage of the amount you're spending online. It could be 10% or more. It could be a set amount of cash rather than a percentage, often seen if you are signing up with a new utility company via a cashback site, for example. Even 1% of the money you spend on eBay is better than nothing! You can even earn cashback by paying for your usual spending with a specific bank card. Check and see if whoever you bank with offers cashback.

5. Check Your Benefit Entitlement

Different people are entitled to different benefits. This could be because of your income, your job status or whether you have children. Lots of us forget to check if you are entitled to benefits. This is perhaps even more important when our financial situation changes. You could be missing out on money you are entitled to. Money that you've put into the pot for instances just like the one you find yourself in. Check quickly, because many of these benefits cannot be backdated.

6. Fill In Surveys

There are loads of websites where you can earn money by filling in surveys. From Swagbucks to YouGov, you can get paid to give your opinion. It could be on popular culture or politic happenings, or taking part in market research. Your thought on things is important and there are companies who will pay you to share it with them. You can make money watching ads too, and also filming short video answers.

7. Rent Out Your Space

Do you have a spare room at home? How do you fancy renting it out to someone who needs accommodation? It might not be how you wanted to be living at this point in your life, but depending on where you live in the country, renting out a room can offer up to and over £200 a week! It could be a short term solution to your money issues. Or a long term way of paying of your mortgage earlier. You might meet a brand new best friend and love living together. Even if you don't have a spare room, maybe you have a driveway but don't actually drive a car. You might be able to rent this out for £5+ a day.

8. Pet Sitting

If you spend a lot of time at home, maybe if you work from home, do you have time to look after other people's pets? Some people in your neighbourhood will have pets but won't be able to look after them all the time. This could be because of their work commitments or they spend nights away from home. Use your lunch hour to walk your neighbours dog. Get a list of clients that have cats that ned checking in on each evening. Maybe you can even look after small pets like rabbits and guinea pigs at your own home?

9. Sell Your Photos

Do you have a talent with a camera? Even if you don't consider yourself anything but an amateur with photography, there are people who will pay for your photos. You could sell them as individual prints, maybe through your own website. Alternatively you can upload them to places such as Getty Images. You might have a hard drive full of images that people are looking for. Carve out a niche in your style that people like and every time you upload you could be adding cash to your bank. 

10. Freelance Work

The tenth item on our list of fast ways to make money is freelance work. Maybe you have a full time job in graphic design. How about offering those services on an evening? Use your time away from work doing freelance work for different clients. It could be a small business owner needing logos and business stationery. It might even be charities who are looking for affordable yet professional designs for banners and promotional material. There are any businesses and entrepreneurs who don't have the money for an inhouse designer. This is where they will look to people just like you for hourly rates for ongoing work or quotes for one off projects. If you have skills and talents to offer, freelance work can be a great way to make extra money.

11. Write An eBook

Do you have knowledge and information that people will pay for? If the answer is yes, why not write an eBook? Once you've put those 25 hours or so into writing, piecing together and publishing your eBook, it can be earning you money for a long as you keep it active. If you have fantastic content that will really help people out, you'll see sales today, tomorrow, next week and maybe even next year. This is proper passive income and it can be a great addition to building your bank balance every month.
